More soaps!

Remember soap?

Well, I've found the seller and the damage as below..

2 bars of honey/oatmeal soaps and a royal stout soap. The stout one smells funky (not my taste) but the honey/oatmeal (lemongrass, eucalyptus and patchouli) just smells wonderfully awesome.

So then, after all my raving, my friend decided to get his own and boy did he get. Came home with these!! (6 bars total).

So, being the raver, I cannot lose. So out comes the phone, wallet and meeting.

And below is the damage..

There is 1 more bar but that bar now resides with Victoria. =D

So I wanted to know if this soap is really better. So I finally finished my 1st bar and out comes Terky's present. A bar of all vegetable, L'Occitane soap.

And on my RM4.99 soap dish that is made in Japan.

My conclusion is that the handmade soaps are way better. The L'Occitane lathers better but that's no biggie here in Malaysia. It also makes my hair feels way heavier and just not as nice overall.

The honey/oatmeal feels smoother and more moisturizing than the turmeric but both are great. Only issue I have with the honey/oatmeal is that U might find scraps of oats on yourself!

Well, that's it! Life is awesome. Can't wait to take my next bath!!

Soap?

1st of all, CONGRATS to Allan & Sharon!!

2nd, Noooooooo!! Allan is evil!

Disclaimer: Poison ahead..

I'll just make it short and sweet: Thanks Allan & Sharon for this wedding door gift.

THIS IS THE BEST BAR OF SOAP I'VE EVER LAYED MY FAT ITCHY HANDS ON USED!!!!

It has replaced my soap, shampoo and facial cleanser! OMG!!

I've used many soaps in my life.
Young: J&J, Dettol, Protex, Seba-med, green herbal soap, etc.
Now: Yves Rocher (main brand), Crabtree & Evelyn, etc.
Yves Rocher is a pretty mid-high end brand (plant origins, made in EU &/ France), but I gotta say this bar is simply WAY better. It cleans very well and is absolutely non drying. My face doesn't even feel tight after washing!!

Get one today and be AMAZED!
Warning: Finish your current soap 1st or U might just end up throwing the whole lot away..

More info on this bar: Soap Tree PJ (I can't believe I'm linking a FB page.. Ewwww)

Shuttles material review

Badminton shuttle materials

Hi! Welcome to my shuttles testing page!

Ever since I was "conned" to buy a tube of Li Ning A+60 (RM58/tube of 15, the guy say very durable and better than Yonex), I'm now very skeptical about shuttle quality.

So... what makes a good shuttle? The best shuttle feel is supposed to be a head made of cork and good flight and durability depends on the feathers. Also I've found better feathers to he "harder to open", meaning that when you smash hard, lousy feathers tend to be ruffled while good ones keep their original shape.
Good feathers also tend to be thick and err on the softer side.
Also, the white thingie that covers the cork is supposed to be made of kid leather.

I'm pretty shocked to find out that there is almost no manufacturers that give you a full head of cork and kid leather, preferring a hybrid of cork-foam and synthetic leather! And this even goes into their most premium shuttles!

So on to the test~!! Hope this helps make better decisions. =)

This is not a play or durability test, just to show what materials goes into a brand's shuttles. Head will be split open to show head material and the white part will be burned for about 3 seconds using a jet lighter.

How to see this review?

1. I'm looking at the materials used here only. A cork head gives the best feel (I think so) but is also the most expensive.
2. Material of the cloth covering the head. It's mostly real leather vs synthetic leather (hopefully no cloth, etc)

Example of real leather. Taken from Yonex AS-30. Notice that it burns without shrinking.

Example of synthetic. Taken from Protech Classic 88. So shrunken

And let the shuttles begin!

Out with the old, in with the new!

As some of you might know, my old knife's clip broke. Thats what you get for buying a cheap China knife. So I went ahead and got myself a new knife! Thank you Keong for bringing it in!!

Introducing.. The Cat

No.. I'm Spydie!

It's a Spyderco Cat

And a HDR photo for the end. Umm..

Well, overall it's been great except for a part that rattles, which I've fixed. Let me use it a bit 1st. It's already useful, I cut the string on Justin's racket as it snapped. =D
